Visas are here.

We picked up our visas from the China Tribune in St. Paul today. Who knew you had to have someone hand deliver your passports to the consulate. Kind of scary to give away our passports, but they are back with our special page saying we can travel to China. It is good for one year, and we can stay up to 90 days. God willing, we will only stay for 14!
Rebecca talked to the good people at Homeland Security and our application to add someone to our immediate family has been processed. Our social worker is going to call China and get the wheels moving with our Travel Approval (TA). She is thinking 2 weeks.
That puts us at October 19th. Realistically, we should be in China in November. It would have been soooooo nice to be with her for her 4th birthday on October 21st, but we are not complaining. So many times, we have thought that we wouldn't see her by Christmas.
Henry let us know last night that Tasha from his class is adopted from Russia. We talked to his teacher, and she has only been in the US for one year. Sounds like she is doing great with her new language.
(I am still hoping for a phone call early next week with travel approval and somehow we make it work to get out of here in time to be in China on the 21st. Longshot but its possible!
