We are in China! Man are we tired...

MSP to LAX to CAN to HFE and we all made it in one piece. Maggie, our agency rep met us at the Hefei airport. She couldn't be nicer. We all got to the Hilton and we are situated in a suite that is more than nice.
Maggie took me (Tom) to Wal-Mart across the street for some provisions. It is a cross between a Super WalMart from back home, a flea market, and IKEA. 3 stories of crazy retail and live fish. Becky worked to get us unpacked and settled in the boys.
The boys are sleeping soundly, as it is 1:30 am back home, but 3:30 pm here.
This city has 4.8 million people! The province has 66 million. It is amazing to be here.

We weretold that because Hefei is not a toursity city, we would get attention (especially the boys) for being caucasian/different. Other than a few business travelers, EVERYONE is Chinese. Our "omg" moment was right away at the Guangzhou airport at the gate to go to Hefei. When I (Tom) took the boys to get some water, the 3 teens working at the shop treated them like Jonas Brothers. Lots of squealing and giggling. Soon after, Peter and Henry proceded to have their picture taken with about 5-7 ladies, all one by one. Peter rolled his eyes at it all, but Henry seemed to enjoy every second.

About 18 hours till we meet Sydney. We are crazy anxious, and with the trip behind us it is nice to now be able to focus on her.

There will be pictures coming. Blogger.com is not allowing me to post from here (China blocking?). I am logged into our dental office computer, and posting this from there.

More tomorrow!!!
