Typhoid Vaccinations and Medevac Insurance

Typhoid vaccinations and Medevac insurance are two things that are hard to nail down as far as how important they are. We were told that typhoid is hard to get as long as you are careful with what you eat or drink. After long deliberation with our friend/MD, we decided better safe than sorry, so we are now all officially vaccinated (yet again).
As far as the Medevac insurance, we gathered as much info as we could, and went with the company, Global Rescue, that seemed the most reputable. It will be quite a lot of peace of mind to have our card that can get us where we need to be if something bad does actually happen. What was also nice is that part of the process is that they have all of our insurance and medical info in advance, so all the emergency numbers and doctors are in their database.

Both the typhoid vaccinations and medevac insurance are two things that many people opt not to do, but we are happy we did go that route.

Getting things packed, Sydney's room is becoming the "prep area". The boys are getting excited too. Henry told me (Tom) that he had a dream that we were in China and we walked so much he just couldn't go any farther. We have been telling him for months that he is going to have to carry his own backpack, and that he couldn't be carried when he gets tired. Apparently he listened, and is worried. He thought we had to walk everywhere, even from the airport to the hotel. He is feeling much better now that he has the true story.
